Kelmscott First Fox Valley Based Printer
to Receive FSC Certification
Aurora IL – Kelmscott Press of Aurora, IL has successfully completed Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) Chain-of-Custody certification contributing to responsible forestry practices. FSC is widely recognized as maintaining the most comprehensive and highest set of standards regarding the responsible management and use of forests and
forest products.
Forest Stewardship Council tracks raw material chain of custody to certify that paper and other wood products come from forests adhering to strict environmental and socioeconomic standards. FSC-certified companies complete a rigorous examination of procurement procedures to guarantee products originated in well-managed forests. “FSC certification serves as a promise to our customers that Kelmscott is committed and responsive to our planet’s
environmental concerns,” said Kelmscott Owner Scott Voris. “It allows us to support responsible forest management and offer our customers the unique assurances that come
along with these FSC programs.”
Kelmscott Press is the first Kane County-based printer to achieve this international certification. Voris states, “It is important for Kelmscott to be a leader in this cause, to be a leader in our business community, and to be the first ‘green printer’ in our county.”
