Kelmscott Press Welcomes New Owner

AURORA, IL — Kelmscott Press, Inc., announced today the 68-year old printing company’s sale to new owner Scott Voris, an Aurora native and businessman. The name of the company, located at 1665 Mallette Road, will remain the same. Voris purchased Kelmscott Press from Thomas Reeves, whose family has had partial or sole interest in Kelmscott since 1963. Voris intends to build on Kelmscott’s preeminent position in the Illinois printing industry and expand its capabilities and versatility. Reeves will remain on staff as an advisor, to provide continuity through the transition. “Kelmscott’s rich history and commitment to its customers make the business attractive,” said Voris. “The printing community, our customers, employees and vendors will continue to see the highest level of service from Kelmscott with a renewed energy and commitment as I step in as the new owner.”

Voris, a graduate of University of Illinois, was previously Regional Promotions Director for the Chevrolet, Cadillac and Hummer Divisions of General Motors R*Works in Naperville. Prior to working at R*Works, Voris was with Arthur Anderson, LLP. With more than 13 years of solid business experience, he is looking forward to working with the Aurora industrial community. He and his wife, Michelle, have four children and live in Aurora. Kelmscott Press, Inc., has been a presence in the Fox Valley area since 1936. Named for the renowned 19th century English printing establishment, Aurora’s Kelmscott continues to emulate its namesake in both quality and excellence of design. The firm currently employs 30 workers and has won numerous awards for industry excellence, including the Printing Institute of America’s (PIA) prestigious “Best of the Best Workplace in America” on three separate occasions.
